Bummer!  Ashlee Hewitt has been eliminated on Nashville Star.  Dismay, disgust and depression has set in!!!  The only thing making us feel better is knowing that Ashlee will move on to BIG and BETTER things!  We feel confident she will be offered multiple deals in Nashville.  She is the whole package...singing talents, good looks, star power, stage presence, songwriting and multiple instrument playing...WOW.  At least now, she won't have to be locked into a very binding Nashville Star record deal.  She will be free to swing her own deal and do her own thing.  We see nothing but wide open road ahead for Ashlee! 

BIG THANKS TO AMY, our CAT correspondent for this awesome photo.  It was PARTY time in Lancaster.  Big homecoming for Ashlee as she did two appearances on Wednesday night.  One was a benefit for a family friend in need of a kidney transplant.  The other was a concert on the family farm with Ashlee, her sister and 32 Below.  A great time to meet Ashlee and tell her how much fun we had watching her on national TV!

Spinning around the world this week. Today Vicki figured out we were touring Sydney, Australia and won free tickets to Folklorama, plus 2 nights hotel lodging in Winnipeg.  This week we have also visited Beijing, China and Venice, Italy.  We'll start with more touring tomorrow morning about 6:20.  Listen for our clues and a little after 8am, we'll take your guess.  You might be enjoying a $700 mini-vaca to Winnipeg!

Thanks to Mark the movie man for joining us and sharing highlights of his vacation?? to New Orleans.  Mark and 22 other kids from his church worked in the Big Easy for a whole week.  Some of the group members did painting at a half-way house.  While others, including Mark, washed trolley cars still filthy from Hurricane Katrina.  Mark also met a new lady on his journey!!


We started a new feature on Friday mornings!  It's a new movie update with Penny from River Cinema 12 in EGF.  Penny will join us on Friday mornings at 8:35 with info about all the new movies opening in town.  This week it's BATMAN, the dark knight,  Mama Mia and Space Chimps.

Ronn is getting ready to head out on vacation.  A little lake time and golf.  I'll be gone the week after.  Everyone around here has been taking time off.  Christal just returned from a really fun trip to Atlanta and Dangerous Dave heads to Lake of the Woods when he finds the time.  Hope you are having a super summer and able to go somewhere fun!

 It's a baby girl for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.  Her name is Sunday and she was born Monday morning!!! Congrats to Sharon Lunski our Cat Country "one's on the way" contest winner.  Sharon had the most correct guess on baby's arrival and wins our grand prize, a $100 gift card from Suite 49. 
 
Jim visited us in the studio a while back.  He had the winning bid at the Relay for Life silent auction and won a morning visit with Jaci and Ronn.  We had a blast chatting with Jim and finding out more about his life, his wife and family, farming by Oslo and his love for Reba!
